 "शुभमंगल सावधान" झाले. तासाभरातच लग्नविधी व भेटीगाठी पार पडल्या. वधू-वर गळ्यातील सुगंधी हारांच्या अतिव ओझ्यामुळे त्रासले होते. एकमेकांकडे बघत दोघांनीही ते मोठे गुबगुबीत हार आपआपले मित्र-मैत्रिण मदन व सुलज्जा यांच्या हातात दिले.फुलांच्या घमघमाटाने अंचबित झालेली नाजुक सुलज्जा सुंदर हार हातात घेवुन प्रसन्न चेहऱ्याने उभी होती.उस्फुर्तपणे ती काहीतरी म्हणणार तर....नेमक्या त्याच क्षणाला उतावीळ मदनचे ओठ उघडले आणि न राहवून मोठ्या आवाजात म्हणाला,"तो हार माझ्या गळ्यात घालशील का....!"सुलज्जा डोळे मिचकावत नखशिखांत शहारली ..बावरली.

  गुंतले नयन प्रेमफुला नजर-ए-घायाळ,

  नेत्र पल्लवे सुलज्जा मदन लाडिवाळ..!

पंचवीस वर्षांपूर्वीचा चित्त-हरवणारा प्रसंग जसाचा तसा तिने आज पुन्हा अनुभवला ... फोटोंचा अल्बम पाहताना..!!!

Within an hour after the wedding,the reception ceremony was over. The bride and groom were little exhausted with weighty fragrant garlands around their necks. Looking at each other, they removed them and handed over the big bulky garlands to their friends Madan and Sulajja respectively. Astonished Sulajja was standing with a delightful face holding the beautiful garland in her hand. She was to say something, but at that very moment, Madan hurriedly said in a loud voice, "Will you garland me now..." Sulajja  shivered, blinking eyes got baffled..

"Guntale nayan premphula nazar- a-ghayal,

Netra pallave Sulajja Madan ladiwal ..!!"

Today, after twenty five years... she experienced the same thrilling and  heartthrobing incident again ... just while browsing the old photo album .. !!!
