TAG-S-TORY : 13

Heavy and tremendous down-pouring....it was almost cloud burst !!! Water was gushing in life-threatening speed. He drove his new bike in the strong current of water. Kept on sheer balancing & moving further zigzagly..the bike got stuck exactly in the middle of the over-flooded brook. Many twigs and branches of roadside trees were dangling forth on the tune of the ghosty wind. In the seeming dark-noon, looking up, for support, he quickly held something, like a woody serpentine branch...hanging just  very close to his hand. It was the greatest hand-lift as he thought blindly. The rising water-level below & the windy-force was on great surge. And at next moment ... another spiral-shaped twig started dangling there. With eerie fear in eyes,...he glared up and saw innumerous reddish twigs ....the weird witchy tongues... were eager to gulp him snapily.

घमासान प्रचंड पाऊस.... अक्षरशः ढगफुटीच.... जीवघेण्या वेगाने वाहणारा अलोट पाण्याचा लोंढा. दुचाकी वाहनासह तो प्रवाहात शिरला.... तोल सावरत तो पुढे सरकत होता. धोक्याच्या पातळीवर वाहणाऱ्या ओढ्याच्या मध्यभागी अचानक दुचाकी अडकली.. रस्त्याच्या बाजूने उभ्या झाडांच्या फांद्या सैतानी वा-याच्या लहरींवर थैमान घालू लागल्या.अंधारलेल्या दुपारी त्यानं वर पाहिलं.. सापासारख्या वेटोळ्या फांदीला आधारासाठी हाताने धरले. लटकत..हेलकावत, खाली वाढत असलेल्या पाण्याकडे तो पाहात होता. वा-याचा जोर वाढला... आणि पुढच्याच क्षणी  आणखी एक वाटोळी फांदी त्याच्या समोर लटकु लागली...भयभीत नजरेने त्याने वर पाहिलं तर...असंख्य फांद्या भेसूर चेटकिणीसारख्या जिभल्या चाटत, त्याला झपकन गिळंकृत करण्यास सज्ज होत्या...
